Fear doesn't mean you are not ready.

To think, I almost let one big, scary exam sabotage this.

20 months after leaving my “successful” corporate career, I’ve unlocked another milestone in my coaching journey:

I am now a proud ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC)! 🎉

It’s validation after hundreds of hours of training and coaching clients.

And yet, I almost let ONE thing stop me: the required exam.

I failed multiple practice tests. I read endless comments online about how tough it is.

Combined with my lifelong anxiety around exams, I was spiraling in fear.

That fear of failing almost made me forget the bigger picture: I had already done the harder work to get here.

It took some self coaching (and a little tough love) to finally sign up, prepare, and face my fear.

And I passed. 💪

We do this so often in our careers:

We aim for a bigger role, or a promotion…

…and then fixate on the one scary step in the process: The interview. The presentation. The tough conversation.

Here’s the thing: Fear doesn’t mean you’re not ready.

It just means you need to quiet your inner critic, and work with your inner leader on a plan to move forward.

Today, I’m pausing to celebrate. 🎉

Tomorrow, I keep going. 🏃‍♀️

💭 What’s your big goal right now? What’s that one step that scares you most? What’s the nudge you need to push forward?
